History of Seattle Triathlon Group

It all started in the fall of 2013

In the autumn of 2013, a spark of inspiration ignited among a close-knit circle of friends — Chris Hatfield, Ted Meenk, Dexter Guiang, and Anna Crosetti — during their track workout. The genesis of something truly special had begun.

The Seattle Green Lake Running Group leader offered them their logo, allowing them to make a transformative adjustment. Two of the three runners morphed into a swimmer and a cyclist, solidifying the group's distinct identity.

This subtle yet powerful alteration became the hallmark of the Seattle Green Lake Triathlon Group, signifying a shift from a simple idea among friends to a symbol that resonated with the larger community of like-minded triathletes.

The seed was planted in January 2014.
