Join us for a swim in Lake Stevens! This event is for experienced open water swimmers ONLY! Please arrive at 5:15 - 5:30 p.m. to check in, get geared up, and listen to the safety briefing before we get in the water. We will plan to start swimming at 5:45 p.m. and will swim for approximately 1 hour. Location: We meet at Lake Stevens at North Cove Park, 1806 Main St, Lake Stevens, WA 98258. Equipment and Safety:

• A brightly colored swim cap and swim buoy are required for safety/visibility.
• In order to participate in any Seattle Triathlon Group event, you must sign our electronic waiver. Waivers only need to be signed once per year or if your contact info has changed. Please use the same email address for the waiver as the email address you use here on Meetup so we can match them up. New this year is that I will only be accepting electronic waivers - please complete the waiver ahead of time! No waiver, no swim!
• Our Open Water Swims (OWS) are non-lifeguarded, swim-at-your-own-risk events. As such, it is imperative that you be certain of your comfort level and ability to OWS. These are not designed for, nor should they be used for learning how to swim, or for inexperienced open water swimmers. An inexperienced OWS is a danger to themselves, and those around them. If you are not certain about your OWS capabilities, we suggest practicing at a lifeguarded swim beach or at an event designated for beginning open water swimming.
• There is NO guarantee of access to changing rooms/lockers, or gear watch.
• A swim buoy with a dry pouch is useful to bring your phone and keys with you on the swim.
• A wet suit is highly recommended. The wet suit is especially helpful early in the season but is not necessary.
